Tacos El Franc was never built to chase fame—only to serve great tacos, made the right way.
Founded in 1996 by Don Javier Valadez, Tacos El Franc began as a small family-run taquería on a corner in Tijuana, rooted in honest ingredients, generous portions, and deep respect for tradition. No shortcuts, no gimmicks—just adobo spinning on the trompo, carne asada sizzling over charcoal, and tacos crafted with care.
Its reputation grew the old-fashioned way: through loyalty, word of mouth, and unforgettable flavor. Families returned week after week. Locals brought friends from both sides of the border. Visitors left talking about “that taco spot” they couldn’t forget.
Today, Tacos El Franc is recognized by Netflix’s Taco Chronicles and the Michelin Guide 2024—honors earned without losing sight of its roots. Still family-run, still focused on hard work, full plates, and the belief that a well-made taco brings people together.
This is Tacos El Franc—built on tradition, driven by flavor, and proud of where it started.
