As part of our 150th Anniversary celebration, we launched a Dusty Rabbit Cocktail Contest & Giveaway that started in May this year. The Dusty Rabbit is a signature cocktail contest where merchants honor the pioneering spirit of legendary founder, Alonzo Horton, who transformed Rabbitville into the thriving dining and entertainment district it is today. We challenged mixologists, bars, and restaurants from around the Gaslamp Quarter to create a cocktail named the Dusty Rabbit. Each location’s recipe is open to interpretation and may include any kind of spirit or alcohol uniquely reflective of the establishment. Guests of the establishments participate in the cocktail contest by voting for their favorite Dusty Rabbit on Instagram or email. By supporting their favorite cocktail, guests are also entered for a chance to win a special Gaslamp Quarter 150th Anniversary Package! The Top 5 locations with the most engagement on Instagram and email will be served at our 150th Anniversary Birthday Party and ticket holders to that event will then vote for their favorite Dusty Rabbit!
Until now, a specific ending date for the cocktail contest was not set, but with the confirmed date of our 150th Anniversary Birthday Party on Tuesday, November 7th, the end date for the contest has been decided! The Dusty Rabbit Cocktail Contest & Giveaway will officially end on Tuesday, October 31st!! Make sure to get your votes in and get entered into the giveaway before it’s too late!
