Nestled close to the historic Gaslamp Quarter archway, Lou and Mickey’s boasts a wide selection of juicy Prime steaks and ocean fresh seafood. If you are a fan of Ribeye steaks, try the house favorite, the "Cowboy" steak. This bone-in Ribeye is Certified Angus Beef, the benchmark of superior quality, renowned for offering the best texture and flavor. Try pairing your steak with one of the other house specialties - tasty and exotic cocktails!
With their spacious multi-level floor plan and contemporary ambiance, they could be comfortable just getting away just on good looks but at Greystone, the Steakhouse, they let the menu do the talking. From truffle infused filet mignon to almond-crusted lamb chops and everything in between, it’s obvious they take their food very seriously and that makes it the perfect place for a jubilant group celebration or the magical setting for dazzling that special someone.
The Pride of San Diego is Donovan's Steak & Chop House . They originally opened in La Jolla but chose a site close to Petco Park for their Gaslamp Quarter location. Finely crafted decor, exclusive ambiance and world class dining await you. They've always got the game on one of their Hi-def TV's that grace the bar, always have a great glass of wine handy and always have a smile at the front door. Dignified and gracious, Donovan's is a stop not to be missed. They hold local bragging rights as they took "Favorite Steakhouse" in the previous Lamplighter Awards.
Located inside a gorgeous Victorian building and the former home of one of Wyatt Earp's gambling halls and saloons, G5-George’s on Fifth, carries a piece of history in it’s walls. Featuring live piano music nightly, George’s offers an atmosphere of sophistication and their steaks are no exception. One of their most popular features on the menu is the Kobe beef steaks which are seasoned to perfection and cooked to your liking. Order the mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side and feast away amidst the ghosts of wild west.
Gaslamp Strip Club, is famous for their signature “Strip Steak” (what were you thinking?). Not only do they have a great variety of steaks, they have a chef who knows exactly how you like your steak without ever asking. Who is this psychic chef? It’s you! Yes, each customer can grill their own steak exactly to their preference. One of their local favorite steaks is the New York Strip, try it out and don’t forget to tip the chef!
The Palm Restaurant is a family owned steak house that has been around for over 75 years. The Palm is synonymous with prime steaks and outrageously sized lobsters. They are also known for their fresh ingredients, big portions, great service and having an upbeat crowd. When you stop by make sure to check on the unique decor. Be sure to look for their classic cartoons and caricatures of local celebrities!
Their name means “King of the Herd” but Rei do Gado, a traditional Brazilian steakhouse should also tout itself as “King of the Meats”. They offer over 40 varieties of chicken, beef and steak which have been roasted over a mesquite flame that preserves tenderness and offers an unmatchable taste. The Passador, a waiter serving from giant roasting skewers, arrives at your table with tantalizing meat selections which are sliced directly off the skewer and onto your plate! The ritual is repeated over and over again with different fire-roasted selections until you signal him to stop. Also included is an extensive buffet featuring delicious fresh side dishes and eclectic desserts.
Providing exceptional food and wine in a joyful and inviting atmosphere is their goal and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar has aimed and hit their mark. All their beef is hand-cut daily and broiled at 1600 degrees, locking in all the flavor and juices. Impress your friends and take them to “Prime Rib Sunday” which touts a 12 oz prime rib served with a trio of sauces and your choice of salad. Don’t forget to check out their celebrated wine list, known as the “Fleming’s 100”, boasting some of the finest wines in the world.
