Marching bands and spirit squads from the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl’s competing teams have the ultimate battle of the bands in the Gaslamp Quarter, performing holiday favorites and fight anthems as they parade along 5th Avenue. All ages, SD Bowl Games/GQA event
The popular Carrier Johnson + Culture Poinsettia Bowl Gaslamp March makes its triumphant return to the streets of Downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter on Monday, December 21, 2015. The magic kicks off at 6:00PM, when opposing marching bands and spirit squads from the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl begin parading towards each other from opposite ends of Fifth Avenue at E Street and K Street. Expect performances of some of your favorite holiday songs and fight anthems on each block of Fifth Avenue between E and K Street. The crescendo hits as they near the main musical arena at Fifth Avenue and Market St, with bands and spirit squads taking turns to perform. Stay tuned for updates, including the official announcement of participating universities, during the first week of December!
